Nice and clean pages with small marks and light shelf wear on the outer edges, previous owners name and date (1943) written on the edges of the frond endpaper on 5 of the volumes, small creases on the edges of the pages, small foxing marks inside the front and back covers and endpapers. Gilt edges on the outer edges of the pages. The set is in VGC for its age with some shelf wear. 1041pp including Notes, glossary.
